Surrounded by riveting landscapes and endless adventure possibilities, Mammoth Lakes is a mystical escape into nature, with the amenities of a major destination. Home to one of the most prolific ski and snowboard resorts, this quaint California town is a wonderland of sport and exploration. Boasting temperate winters and a reputation for epic powder days, Mammoth Mountain has one of the longest ski seasons in North America. Summers revolve around stunning hikes, mountain biking adventures, and calming fishing retreats at the many clear water lakes and rivers of the region. Year-round activities morph from cross-country skiing to kayaking, snowshoeing to paddle-boarding and backpacking; whatever the season there is no shortage of things to do in this alpine commmunity.
Mammoth Lakes receives a world-wide influx of tourism and is particularly accessible to the Los Angeles, Tahoe, and Reno populations via captivating scenic drives. A short 6 miles from the town centre is the Mammoth Yosemite Airport (MMH) which is served by several airlines and boasts daily flights to LAX and San Jose (SJC). Once in Mammoth Lakes, a free Eastern Sierra Transit Authority bus system provides winter and summer access to popular stops such as the Mammoth Lakes Basin, The Village at Mammoth, Mammoth Mountain Lodges, grocery stores and dinning locations. Plus, regional transportation services make it easy to access places to explore just outside of Mammoth Lakes, including Yosemite National Park, Mono Lake, Bodie State Historic Park and more (visitmammoth.com).
They know Mammoth intimately (a big plus) and were able to zero in on what we wanted versus what was available in the marketplace. We couldn’t be happier with our condo and with their service. They are winners!
